GAPscape - URBAN ART

An artistic series of abstract paintings that metaphorically recounts the history and characteristics of communication. These topics are represent through two artistic elements: forms and materials.

A personal technique was developed over the years, mixing pure pigments and acrylic paste spreading them on a sleek plexiglas surface. Transforming the cultivated analogies and the metaphors created into strokes and colors, exalting the empty spaces (GAP) through empty spaces it is possible to admire the view (landscape) in the background.

The title GAPscape is thus a play on words, a neologism to indicate at the same time the artistic and technical idea used.

Eight paintings of this series are now owned by the Bank of Italy, permanently exhibited at Palazzo Koch in Rome.
